No timeline for Karlsson’s return: Agent

The healing of Erik Karlsson’s severed Achilles tendon is going well but there is no timeline for his return to action, his agent, Craig Oster, said Wednesday morning.
In an email message, Oster said care will be taken to make sure Karlsson is “fully healthy” before he returns.
Karlsson was injured in a Feb. 13 game against the Pittsburgh Penguins when his left Achilles was cut by Matt Cooke’s left skate.
He had surgery to repair the tendon the next day.
He has been skating for 30-40 minutes daily at the Bell Sensplex, fully speculation he may return this season.
Oster said there’s no rush.
“Erik is continuing to progress,” he wrote.
“He and the organization are going to ensure that he is fully healthy and at minimal risk of complications before he considers a return to play.
“The healing process seems to be going well. No definitive timelines.”
The Senators, now on a five-game losing streak, could use the defending Norris Trophy winner, but he won’t be back in time to help them out of this slump.
