The Ottawa Senators have confirmed that newly acquired goalie Ben Bishop will report to Binghamton. Officially, this isn’t a transaction, since he was never recalled by the NHL team.

He is simply being transferred from Peoria to Binghamton.

There was no indication from the Senators if Bishop might be recalled by the end of the regular season.

But general manager Bryan Murray seemed to suggest on Sunday, shortly after Bishop was acquired from the St. Louis Blues, that he would play a game in the NHL before the end of the regular season.
