PITTSBURGH – Sure, the Pittsburgh Penguins have Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Jordan Staal, Paul Martin and Kris Letang.

But the Ottawa Senators must beware Tyler Kennedy tonight.

Tyler Who?

Kennedy, who has scored an average of half a point per game during his NHL career and is usually lost in the background behind the Penguins stars, has been a Senators killer over the years.

In 13 games against the Senators, Kennedy has scored eight goals and three assists.

If nothing else, the statistics provide an intriguing behind the scenes story as the Senators face the Penguins for the first time this season and play Crosby for the first time since his return from his concussion.

Incidentally, Crosby has four goals and 13 assists in 20 games against the Senators. Malkin has 12 goals and eight assists in nine games and Staal has five goals and 10 assists in 17 games.
