Neil to miss final game after crashing into boards, being evaluated
Chris Neil won’t play in the final game of the season against the New Jersey Devils after crashing head first into the boards during a shootout drill on Friday.
Neil was the second shooter when he lost his footing and fell into the boards.
He was on the ice for several minutes before being helped off the ice by his teammates.
Senators coach Paul MacLean said Neil was being evaluated and didn’t know how serious the injury could be.
The way Neil was carrying himself, it looked to involve the head, neck, or back.
