Morning skate update: Senators scratch Filatov again

The Ottawa Senators will scratch winger Nikita Filatov and start goalie Craig Anderson when they take on the Tampa Bay Lightning at Scotiabank Place Monday night.

With Filatov out, Bobby Butler will be on the top line with Jason Spezza and Colin Greening.

Senators head coach Paul MacLean said there was a debate about whether or not to get Filatov back into the lineup, but the team felt Butler is working hard and deserves the opportunity to play at the moment.

Here’s how the Senators lined up at the morning skate Monday:

Colin Greening — Jason Spezza — Bobby Butler
Milan Michalek — Nick Foligno — Daniel Alfredsson
Erik Condra — Zack Smith — Kaspars Daugavins
Zenon Konopka — Jesse Winchester — Chris Neil

More notes from Senators practice:

— Defenceman Filip Kuba skated again Monday and remains day-to-day with an upper-body injury. Peter Regin is also scheduled to practice with the team later this week and appears to be on schedule.
