NEWARK — Milan Michalek will make his return to the Ottawa Senators lineup Friday against the New Jersey Devils after missing the past 15 games following knee surgery.
It’s a huge bonus for a Senators squad with limited offensive potential.
The Devils, meanwhile, will remain without star left winger Ilya Kovalchuk. The Devils, on the verge of dropping out of the playoff race altogether, have lost eight consecutuve games (0-4-4) without Kovalchuk.
Craig Anderson will start in goal for the Senators, while Martin Brodeur plays for the Devils.
The Senators ended a five-game losing streak Friday, defeating the Philadelphia Flyers 3-1.
With a win Friday, the Senators would regain sole possession of sixth place in the Eastern Conference.
