Bobby Butler will be back in the lineup when the Ottawa Senators face the Montreal Canadiens at Scotiabank Place Friday night.
Butler, who has been a healthy scratch for the past four games, will replace Kaspars Daugavins on the fourth line.
Coach Paul MacLean said Butler brings more offence to the table, something the Senators have needed more of against the Canadiens this season.
“We have depth in our lineup and we’re trying to assess it on a game-by-game basis, who gives us a better opportunity to win, and today we feel that putting Butler in will give us a better chance.”
Ben Bishop will start in goal for the Senators, who can take over sole possession of first place in the Northeast Division with a win. The current leaders — the Boston Bruins — are idle.
Carey Price gets the nod in the Habs’ net.
Bobby Butler… Oh yeah… I forgot about that guy.
You wouldn’t of they would just keep him on the first line!
Put the kid back on line 1. Kid needs to play with someone that can get him the puck in the open area so he can rip it.
