All signs are pointing to a quick recovery from a concussion for the NHL’s leading goal-scorer.

Ottawa Senators coach Paul MacLean said star winger Milan Michalek was feeling better for the second straight day and was back on the exercise bike Thursday morning.

Michalek suffered a concussion in a freak collision with Ottawa defenceman Erik Karlsson on Tuesday. While Michalek initially looked okay — he played a couple of shifts afterwards — he wound up leaving the game with an upper-body injury.

Also on the injury front, Filip Kuba is improving as well but is considered doubtful for the Senators’ game against the Pittsburgh Penguins Friday night.

The Senators are looking to bounce back from a 5-2 loss Wednesday in which they badly outplayed the Boston Bruins for stretches.

A handful of horrendous turnovers ultimately did them in, however.
