McElhinney starts again

Curtis McElhinney played in his third straight game on Tuesday to give Craig Anderson a couple of extra days to recover from a lower-body injury.

He should be ready to play on Thursday against the Rangers in New York.

“We just want to make sure that when he goes in he’s not going to aggravate it,” said Clouston.

“We felt that two more days would be days well spent for him. He’ll get a nice full practice (today) and go from there.

Milan Michalek’s in the same boat. He skated here on Tuesday morning and his left foot, once broken, is feeling better every day.

“Everything looks positive for him to be back in the lineup on Thursday,” said coach Cory Clouston.
