Robin Lehner will start in goal, while Mike Hoffman and Eric Gryba will be the healthy scratches, when the Ottawa Senators play the Sabres on Tuesday night in Buffalo.
Both players also sat during Monday’s 5-4 shootout win over the Philadelphia Flyers.
Matt Kassian replaced Hoffman up front, while Patrick Wiercioch slotted in on defence.
Kassian play four shifts and just 2:20 against the Flyers. Hoffman has played three games since being recalled from Binghamton last week.
Against the Sabres, the Senators will be trying to win two games in a row for the first time since Nov. 5-9, when they won three in a row.
This is the first of a home-and-home series with the Sabres. The two teams will play again on Thursday night in Buffalo.
The Sabres have lost their last three games, one in overtime. They sit firmly at the bottom of the Eastern Conference.
The Senators are in 12th in the conference with 29 points, only two points out of a playoff spot.
