Senators defenceman Filip Kuba missed his second game with an upper-body injury. When he might be back is not clear, but coach Paul MacLean said he did make some progress on Friday.
The team did get some good news with the return of Chris Neil, who missed nine games with a sprained ankle.
MacLean was happy to get Neil’s physical presence back in the lineup.
“His physicality, I think, has been missing in part of the games,” he said.
“He leads us in finished checks most games that he plays. He brings that element that we have missed.”
