Ottawa Senators defenceman Erik Karlsson, who led all defenceman in scoring and finished 11th overall, is one of the three finalists for the Norris Trophy, given to the league’s top defenceman.

NEW YORK — Ottawa Senators defenceman Erik Karlsson, who led all defenceman in scoring and finished 11th overall, is one of the three finalists for the Norris Trophy, given to the league’s top defenceman.

Nashville Predator Shea Weber and Boston Bruin Zdeno Chara are the other two finalists.

The Professional Hockey Writers’ Association selects the Norris winner.

The 21-year-old Karlsson is in his third season in the NHL.
