The NHL’s New York Islanders will be moving to Brooklyn in 2015, according to various reports.

NHL commissioner Gary Bettman and team owner Charles Wang are scheduled to appear at a press conference at the new Barclays Center this afternoon, where they are expected to announce the Isles will move upon the expiry of their lease at the dilapidated Nassau Coliseum.

The New York Post is reporting that the team will keep the “Islanders” name in its new home. Brooklyn is on Long Island.

More to come…
