The lockout decision for Claude Giroux is between Prague in the Czech League and Omsk in Russia’s Kontinental Hockey League.
Giroux says he’ll likely make the decision in the next day or two.
Giroux has been skating in Ottawa with a group of locked out NHLers.
“Right now, guys are over there and they’re in game shape,” he said following an informal skate with locked out players Tuesday. “When the NHL does come back, if it does, they’ll be ready to go. If I want to get in game shape, the only way I can do that is to go play somewhere.”
Giroux remains optimistic a deal can be reached between the NHL and NHLPA to salvage at least part of the NHL season.
