Gilroy set for Senators debut

BOSTON — Matt Gilroy will make his Ottawa Senators debut and Zenon Konopka will return to the lineup against the Boston Bruins Tuesday night.

Robin Lehner will also make his second straight start in place of the injured Craig Anderson.

The Bruins have swept the previous four games against the Senators this season. Goaltender Tim Thomas, who has an 18-3 record in his past 21 games against the Senators, will be in goal for Boston.

Gilroy, acquired Monday from Tampa Bay in exchange for Brian Lee, is expected to play with Chris Phillips on defence.

Konopka, who has been a healthy scratch for the past eight games, will replace Kaspars Daugavins.

Too bad Carkner isn’t in the lineup, but the Sens will still have enough toughness to make sure this game doesn’t turn into a circus. If Corvo seeks out Turris, then Neil and Konopka need to respond in kind. Go SENS Go!

If Neil, Smith or Konopka go after Uh oh then we will have a ton of fights. Let Turris pick the fight at the first chance and see if Joe has the jam to back up his talk.

With his threat, Corvo has notified the referees that the instigator penalty shoud be called if/when he drops the gloves. Let’s see if they have the courage to call it.
