Game day skate: Lehner starts in goal

ST. LOUIS – Robin Lehner will be hoping for a repeat performance when he faces the Blues tonight.

On Dec. 16 in Ottawa, the Senators goaltender stopped 30 of 32 St. Louis shots in a 3-2 victory that made a hometown hero out of Cody Ceci, who scored the overtime winner.

This will be Lehner’s first start since giving up five goals in the Jan. 25, 6-3 loss in Carolina to the Hurricanes.

Overall Lehner has a 6-10-3 record with a 2.71 goals-against average and .921 save percentage.

The Blues, with a 20-5-2 home record, counter with Jaro Halak, 23-8-3 with a 2.22 goals-against and .915 save percentage.

The Blues are among the Western Conference leaders with 37 wins.

The Senators are looking to stay in the wild card hunt in the east, after picking up a single point in Monday’s 2-1 overtime loss in Pittsburgh.

Other than Lehner in for Craig Anderson, there are no changes to the Senators lineup.
