Former Sens assistant Carvel lands job
Former Senators assistant Greg Carvel has landed on his feet as an assistant coach of the Saint Lawrence University men’s hockey team, his alma mater.
Carvel, a native of Canton, N.Y., is a former captain of the team.
He graduated from Saint Lawrence in 1993. Before the Senators, he spent time with the Anaheim Ducks and the American Hockey League’s Lowell Lock Monsters.
He was fired with head coach Cory Clouston and assistant Brad Lauer in April.
Clouston is still looking for a job, but Lauer has landed a job as an assistant with the AHL Syracuse Chiefs.
