Foligno feeling lucky after knee-on-knee hit

Nick Foligno was counting himself lucky on Saturday.
He was at practice and able to skate.
After the knee-on-knee hit he absorbed on Friday night from Pittsburgh Penguin defenceman Simon Despres – the second night in a row he took a whack on his left knee – there was some question whether he’d be OK.
But he was, even if he still wasn’t sure how the play unfolded.
“It happened so fast, and I haven’t even seen the replay yet,” he said.
“I don’t know – the wrong place at the wrong time. But that’s hockey. It’s going to happen.
“I like to think I play in the corners and the high-traffic areas and those things are going to happen.”
