Allen Panzeri reports from New York: Brian Elliott will be in net for the entire game as the Ottawa Senators play the Rangers in their penultimate game of the pre-season.
That means Pascal Leclaire, who will sit as the backup tonight, will be in net for the rematch Saturday night at Scotiabank Place.
The Senators take a 2-4 record into the game.
In his two previous pre-season games, Elliott is 1-1 with a 3.00 goals-against average and an 89.8 save percentage.
Leclaire is 0-2 with a 4.14 goals-against average and an 86.7 save percentage.
For tonight’s game, the Senators will be dressing 16 players who spent most of last season in the NHL.
On Sunday, the Senators will make additional cuts and send more players to join the Binghamton Senators.
