SAN JOSE – When the teams met a year ago in Ottawa, the Sharks blanked the Senators on 28 saves from Antti Niemi, who started Thursday’s game, and a pair of goals from former 67 Logan Couture.
Couture says that game ranks in his personal top three.
“To come back to the city where I played and to score two goals ranks right up there, probably right just after the game where I scored by first NHL goal,” he said.
That game was also Dany Heatley’s first back in Ottawa since his infamous demand to be traded, and Couture said he was happy to fly under the radar.
