NEW YORK – With the games likely to become more physical as the series moves along, MacLean could be looking at getting defenceman Matt Carkner into the lineup.
Just as the Rangers are targeting Erik Karlsson, the Senators would like to bump Brad Richards and Ryan Callahan a little more often.
MacLean also said he’d consider putting Alfredsson, Milan Michalek, and Jason Spezza together for the offence they can generate, but since that would have a domino effect on the other lines, it was something he’d had to think through.
