Carkner will be odd-man out against Canadiens

Matt Carkner will be the odd-man out once again against the Canadiens.
It will be the 12th straight game he’s missed in favour of Matt Gilroy, who was acquired at the trade deadline for Brian Lee.
Coach Paul MacLean said Gilroy is making progress.
“I think that Matt Gilroy is coming in and learning what we do,” said MacLean.
“I think he’s played real good for us. We’d like to see him shoot the puck more, get more comfortable so he can add that offensive part of the game that we feel he can bring.
“And at this point, we’re starting to look for him to shoot the puck more when he has the opportunity.”
