Canada’s A Mighty Small Country

St. John’s has been awash with former Senators for the last three days.
Laurie Boschman, Shaun Van Allen, and Patrick Lalime were here for a couple of days signing autographs and running clinics.
Rob Zamuner was here helping out on behalf of the National Hockey League Players’ Association, for which he now works as a liaison between the players and the association, and Shane Hnidy was here as the colour analyst for the Winnipeg Jets.
Finally, in another episode that shows just how small Canada is, former Gee-Gee defenceman Tim Greene was discovered working at a TD branch on Water St. in downtown St. John’s.
He happened to be behind the counter when I walked in to replenish the cash supply. One thing led to another and to an unexpected bit of serendipity.
