Former Senators Todd White will return home to Kanata tonight in a struggle to win a spot on his new team, the Rangers. Now 35 and on his seventh NHL team, White is in tough to stay with the Rangers. Ranger coach John Tortorella described White’s camp as only “OK,” so he’ll be watching closely tonight. White was traded to the Rangers in August for Donald Brashear and Patrick Rissmiller. Last season with the Thrashers, White had seven goals and 19 assists in 65 games. The season before, he had 22 goals and 51 assists in 82 games. The Rangers are hoping he can get back to that level. ”Todd is one of those guys who’s on the bubble as far as where he fits with the team,” said Tortorella. ”He’ll play (tonight) and I want to give him a chance to play with some offensive people ”By no means am I saying he’s out of here, but (his camp) been OK. It hasn’t been great, but we still have to give him an opportunity to play (tonight).
