Brian Lee stays in against Swordsmen
After sitting for seven games straight, Brian Lee finally got in against the Montreal Canadiens. He played well enough to stay in against the Sabres.
There’s not much between Lee, Ottawa’s sixth defenceman, and David Rundblad, Ottawa’s seventh defenceman for the moment, so the two players will have to make good on the chances they get.
MacLean liked what Lee brought to the game.
“I thought he settled down after the first period,” he said.
“He tried to do too much maybe early in the game, but I thought as the game wore on he did a lot of good things and he was just Brian Lee. He was just an NHL defenceman. He did a lot of good things and I thought he helped our penalty killing.”
