Black Aces will join Senators after end of Binghamton season

NEW YORK – With the season of the Binghamton Senators now over, a number of players will be recalled to Ottawa to be with the team as the “Black Aces.”
They are scheduled to have their exit interviews today in Binghamton.
The speculation is that at least eight players will be recalled. An educated guess has that group including goalie Robin Lehner, forwards Mika Zibanejad (who has a concussion), Andre Petersson, Mike Hoffman, Stephane DaCosta, Matt Puempel, and defencemen Eric Gryba and Patrick Wiercioch.
In addition, Mark Stone is expected to arrive in Ottawa today now that his season with the Brandon Wheat Kings is over.
One year after winning the AHL championship, the Binghamton Senators finished as the worst team in the 30-team league. However, it will remain in Binghamton for at least three more years.
The Senators and the Binghamton ownership group have just concluded another affiliation agreement.
