Binghamton looks to end goal scoring drought

The Binghamton Senators are on the road again, searching for offence with an injury depleted lineup.

The B-Sens, who scored only twice in losing to Manchester and Portland last weekend, made the eight-hour bus trip to Virginia Thursday and will face the Norfolk Admirals in back-to-back games Friday and Saturday.

Once again, Binghamton (3-3-1) will be without defencemen Jared Cowen and Eric Gryba and forwards Wacey Hamilton and Mark Stone. Shane Prince, who has yet to play this season, and Stephane Da Costa are questionable.

While the Binghamton lineup is loaded with young prospects, the team has scored only 16 goals in seven games. The team scoring lead is shared between Mike Hoffman, who has one goal and three assists, and Stone, who has four assists in his four games. David Dziurzynski, Andre Benoit, Tyler Eckford and Jakob Silfverberg all have two goals.

Goaltender Robin Lehner ranks sixth in the AHL in goals against average (1.80) and fifth in save percentage (.938).
