NEW YORK — The Binghamton Senators took a big hit with the loss of last year’s AHL MVP, Corey Locke, for a month. He got slashed in the hand during Friday’s 4-2 win over the Albany Devils.
Nikita Filatov also got flattened by a illegal check to the head from Tim Sestito late in the second period but he returned for the third period. He was a question mark going into Saturday’s game against Rochester.
With Kaspars Daugavins with the Senators, and with Binghamton captain Mark Parrish (back) also ailing, the baby Senators are getting a bit shorthanded.
