Anyone in Ottawa still have a Dany Heatley sweater?
On Dany Heatley’s first trip back to Ottawa after the infamous trade that saw him decamp to the San Jose Sharks, Dec. 2, 2010, disgruntled Ottawa fans littered with the ice with Dany Heatley sweaters, expensive but no longer wanted.
Heatley said Tuesday morning he expected the reaction to be negative again but that he was OK with it. He also expected to see a few sweaters tossed on the ice – if there were any left in the city.
“I think they’re all gone already, but we will see,” he said.

My son still has his Heatley jersey and is thinking of changing it to “Cheatley”…as well he is thinking of changing his Kovalev jersey to “Jokealev” but that is another story.
The “Heatley sucks” just prior to the anthem last night was a fitting end to the Heatley saga along with the comeback shoot-out win and the fact that Heatley’s plus /minus was “zero” thanks to the undisciplined Spezza penalty.
Great team victory led by Mr. Bluecollar himself, Chris Neil. He took the team on his back. Senators deserved the victory. Let’s not forget that Craig Anderson made a couple of game-saving stops in the third after the Sens had tied it…tough to do when he could have easily been lulled to sleep through inaction.
Also…coach MacLean looked like a genius putting Greening on part way through the five-on-three/four penalty situation leading to Greening’s goal….Great to see Greening getting into the dirty areas in front of the net….Looks like a good fit with Spezza…skill and grit.
