Anderson takes shots in practice
Craig Anderson says his rehabilitation from a sprained right ankle has been “outstanding,” but there’s no set timetable for when he might be able to return to the Ottawa Senators net.
Anderson suffered the injury on Feb.22, when Chris Kreider of the New York Rangers slid into his leg.
Anderson has been making steady progress, but he doesn’t want to risk further injury be returning too soon. He faced only seven shots at practice Friday.
With Anderson out, Ben Bishop and Robin Lehner have been superb.
Bishop will start Saturday afternoon against the Philadelphia Flyers.
I have loved Craig Anderson since the days in Florida. All I can say as a fan is that our goal tending situation is awesome!
