Craig Anderson will be in net as the Ottawa Senators try once again to win two games in a row when they host the Washington Capitals at the Canadian Tire Centre on Monday night.
Chris Phillips, who missed Saturday’s game with a bruised left foot, skated with the team on Monday morning, but he will be held out to give his foot another two days to heal.
That’s the same strategy the team will follow with Jason Spezza, who missed Saturday’s game with an upper-body injury.
Both players could return for Thursday’s game against the Winnipeg Jets.
On defence, Eric Gryba will be a healthy scratch.
The Senators have not won back-to-back games since Nov. 5-9 when they won three in a row.
