Alfredsson and family return from Sweden, prepare for move to Detroit
After a vacation in his hometown of Gothenburg, former Ottawa Senator captain Daniel Alfredsson and his family arrived back in Ottawa on Monday.
They’ll spend the next little while packing up their home in Kanata for the move to Detroit, where Alfredsson has signed a one-year contract to play with the Red Wings.
He was seen briefly at the Bell Sensplex on Tuesday morning just before his former teammates began an informal skate.
He didn’t do any media interviews but he might before he leaves for Detroit.
His only comments came on a conference call from Sweden, arranged by the Red Wings, on the day he signed.
